Charlton "Skyhook" Gavitt

Charlton B. Gavitt (or Skyhook to his fight family) is a teacher and director in the Theatre Conservatory at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Among his many duties, he is the resident Fight Choreographer and

Stage Combat Teacher.

 

A graduate of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, Skyhook has performed with Karamu Theater, Beck Center, Forth Worth Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Dallas, Dallas Children’s Theatre and Stage West to name a few.

Skyhook has attained Advanced Actor Combatant status with the Society of American Fight Directors  obtaining a recommended pass in a 8 weapon styles.  Skyhook currently serves on the

Governing Body of the SAFD as Treasurer.
